Impeccable Customer Service Tip #536
When listing client testimonials, be sure to use the client’s full name, title and company (with their permission, of course). John D. may really exist, but many people will wonder … or at least be distracted by the fact that his last name wasn’t included.
Steve,
I agree with your comment about testimonials, but with reservation when it applies to government and miliitary personnel. These people are not allowed to put their name on testimonials, nor to endorse any product, so we must simply say “Government attendee”.
Do you know of a work around?
Thank you for your continued inspirational suggestions. We all read them and hope to be improving on that 8% customer approval you cite!

Hello Carolyn,
This is a great question. I would recommend any way of “warming it up” that is permissible. Are they allowed to give video testimonials (without saying their name)? I’m no expert on what’s allowed but I’m glad to ask around…
We can barely get class photos without some of our GPS course attendees declining :O) Many come from sensitive military facilities. The only upside is that our market understands the limitation. Oh, and we don’t have to ask permission :O)
