Agreed, Steve. I’m continually urging clients to let employees go so they can find the position which suits them. One client even tells them this in the exit interview. Most can’t even hear it but he has received notes years later thanking him for getting them out of a dead end.
It’s so much harder to see (and accept) all of this “from the inside;” when you’re IN it.
