Always test out your web links before going “live” — those in your e-mail signature, on your web site, in your e-mail campaigns, etc. You should be catching bad links proactively instead of having to hear about it from your customers.
And do that checking from *outside* your network. I can’t count the number of times I’ve gone through “This link/graphic/whatever doesn’t work” “It works fine for me” “Try it from outside your network” “Oh, now it fails”. Basic stuff, but so many don’t even think about it.
